Mega Smasher x Dunlop

Mega Smasher Foundation Inc. player Jacinto Maliwat and team coach King Arthur Espiritu have been named ambassadors for Dunlop Badminton.

Last July 7, Maliwat and Espiritu, together with Mega Smasher Chairman and Founder Dave Bedico, signed a two-year contract with Asiatraders Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Dunlop in the Philippines.

Mega Smasher’s advocacy is to promote badminton in the country. Through its Athletic Scholarship Program, the foundation helps less fortunate players to continue their dreams of becoming badminton athletes.

The program aids players by giving them proper training, equipment, and gear, to hone their skills and prepare them for local badminton tournaments.

With the help of Dunlop Philippines, Mega Smasher can now assist more aspiring players and enhance their game. The sponsored Dunlop badminton equipment also means that Mega Smasher will be able to increase the number of scholars it can accommodate.

Jacinto “Jack” De Leon Maliwat is a student from Ateneo De Manila University and currently plays in the UAAP. He has been with the Mega Smasher scholarship program for close to two years and has been able to maintain his rank under Team A.

Meanwhile, King Arthur Espiritu participates in local tournaments and has won in several matches. Aside from being the team coach of the Athletic Scholarship Program, he is also handling the Dunlop Intensive Training Program organized by Mega Smasher.
