Kia Philippines celebrated its 4th anniversary with a thanksgiving event for its dealer principals who helped the brand achieve significant milestones for 2022.

Since 2019—when Kia PH was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation—it has always outpaced the overall industry’s performance in terms of growth. Last year, the distributor achieved a record-breaking 34% sales increase as compared to 2021.

Kia PH also received recognition from Kia Asia-Pacific (K-APAC) as the country with the highest growth rate in the region. It’s also the Number 1 independent distributor in retail sales in 2022 in this part of the world. Overall customer satisfaction has the highest improvement as well in the region, based on surveys conducted by K-APAC.

Kia commended top-performing dealer groups during the thanksgiving event: Gateway Motors, Wheels Inc., Iconic Dealerships Inc., Traders of the Laus Group, and Grand Canyon. New partners Autohub Group,  Wheeltek, and Prime Legacy were also welcomed during the gathering.

Kia Philippines was relaunched as an Ayala company in January 2019 with the Soluto as the very first all-new model introduced. Shortly after, the all-new Stinger and the refreshed Forte were highlighted at the Manila International Auto Show. In November of the same year, the all-new Seltos was introduced.

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, the Stonic made history and has continued to be Kia’s bestselling model in the Philippines. In 2021, together with the new Kia brand identity “Movement that Inspires,” the all-new Sorento was introduced. This was followed by the launch of the all-new Carnival in early 2022.

This March, Kia will officially launch its first dedicated battery electric vehicle, the EV6.
