Isuzu Philippines Corporation recently concluded an exciting two-day adventure with D-MAX customers and car club members at Isuzu D-MAX Camp-Out.
Held from September 14 to 15, the event showcased the Isuzu D-MAX’s off-road prowess and fuel efficiency in a stunning beachside setting at Crystal Beach, Zambales.
Participants embarked on a 160-kilometer eco-drive from Isuzu Manila to Petron Subic, where they had a fuel top-up and efficiency check, before continuing to Crystal Beach for lunch and an afternoon of off-road activities.

Overland Kings, led by Joel Pedro, guided the group through an engaging Overlanding 101 session. Accompanying them was 4WD expert Beeboy Bargas, who provided a detailed demonstration of off-roading techniques, focusing on the capabilities of the Isuzu D-MAX’s new Differential Lock System and Rough Terrain Mode.
“This is an excellent hands-on experience for our customers to feel the significant difference between a standard 4×4 setup and the enhanced performance of the D-MAX’s Difflock and Rough Terrain Mode,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita. “These intelligent features give drivers more control and confidence, especially when navigating tough terrain like this,” he added.

The D-MAX ‘s new Differential Lock System allows drivers to lock the rear differential, ensuring equal power distribution to both rear wheels, which improves traction when navigating uneven or slippery surfaces. Combined with the Rough Terrain Mode, these features optimize the D-MAX’s off-road capabilities, making it an ideal choice for overlanding enthusiasts and off-road adventurers alike.
After the off-road activities, participants enjoyed a variety of family-friendly activities and relaxing at the resort’s amenities.
The day’s activities concluded with a dinner program, where IPC announced the winners of the eco-drive challenge. Topping the list was Van Vince Leano, who achieved an impressive fuel efficiency rating of 18.70kpl, followed by Angelo Dela Cruz with 17.48kpl and Ronasis Alan Reyes at 16.91kpl.
