Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has launched the second year of its Hyundai Accelerate Program, partnering with the Municipality of Cainta to provide automotive education opportunities for local students.
The ceremonial signing was held at Cainta Municipal Hall on March 14 and was graced by Atty. Elen Dungo Nieto, Mayor of the Municipality of Cainta, and Frederick Salonga, head of the Cainta Youth Development Office. Also present at the ceremony were HMPH executives Jiho Son, president; Cecil Capacete, managing director; and Hongshik Chin, chief finance officer.
The partnership will see 10 outstanding automotive mechanic students from Cainta Senior High School receive scholarships to study at Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI), HMPH’s partner school.
This initiative mirrors the successful first year of the program, which saw 40 students from Taguig, Pateros, Pasig, and Quezon City receive comprehensive automotive training, including hands-on experience at Hyundai Service Centers and a brand immersion at the Hyundai Global Learning Center in Cheonan, South Korea for top performers.
