Huawei transformed 5th Avenue at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) into a vibrant hub of innovation and creativity with its “Tech with Love” pop-up event on November 9 and 10.
Over 20,000 visitors flocked to the two-day Pet Panda Wonderland pop-up, engaging with Huawei’s latest devices, including the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series, Huawei Watch D2, and Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2.
The event featured interactive stations showcasing the latest health, fitness, and technology innovations from Huawei. Attendees were also able to enjoy the joyful ambiance created by Huawei’s playful Pet Panda, a watch face featured in the emotional wellbeing assistant of the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series.
Those who dropped by the “Tech with Love” event had the opportunity to learn about the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series, which offers features such as advanced health monitoring, fitness tracking, and emotional well-being support.
Filipino celebrities Sofia Andres and Jericho Rosales shared their personal experiences with the device, emphasizing its vital role in enhancing their wellness routines and active lifestyles.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 Series features Huawei TruSense System for fast, accurate health and fitness tracking. With industry-leading monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen, and more, users receive personalized health insights directly from the smartwatch.
The smartwatch also comes with an Emotional Wellbeing Assistant with Pet Panda, as well as an advanced Sunflower Positioning System that enhances accuracy for activities like cycling and trail running. The Pro edition offers specialized modes for golf and freediving.
Additionally, Huawei announced the integration of the Watch Pay feature on the smartwatch series. The GCash QR code payment—which lets users send and receive money, buy load, and pay for their online purchases using their smartwatches—will also be featured in the Huawei Watch Ultimate and Huawei Watch Fit 3. It began rolling out on November 9.
At the “The Only Emotion That Matters” station, guests took a quick mood quiz, and the Pet Panda reflected their feelings based on their responses.
At the “Let’s Light Up Our Rings Together” station, participants rode stationary bikes to power up an Activity Rings display. Cycling together helped them connect, stay active, and move closer to their fitness goals, creating a lively atmosphere of community and shared motivation.
At the “Every Heartbeat Makes TruSense” zone, guests got to experience the Huawei Watch D2, the brand’s first smartwatch with next-generation ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). The device provides 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, enabling users to track their health and receive personalized insights.
Meanwhile, at the “Go Paint Your Imagination” station, attendees unleashed their creativity through art using the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2″. With the world’s leading dual OLED PaperMatte display and more than PC-level performance, the tablet enables users to engage in creative projects, attend virtual meetings, or simply enjoy their favorite media on the go.
To further promote creativity with the GoPaint app, Huawei invites Filipino artists to submit entries for the 2024 GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity with the theme “Creative by Nature.” The competition, open to artists globally, includes categories such as Sci-Fi Art, Design & Fashion, Narrative Art, Cutting Edge Paintings, and Digital Watercolor & Ink. Entries are accepted until December 31.
Part of the jury panel who will select the 20 winners are concept artist John Park (The Mandalorian, Avatar: Way of the Water), illustrator and Forbes Under 30 (Art and Style) honoree Victo Ngai, senior concept artist Pablo Dominguez (Avengers: Endgame), and Huawei Milan Aesthetic Research Center Digital Creative Director Marco La Mantia. They will select the top 20 entries, with each winner receiving a $1,000 cash prize, exhibition opportunities, media coverage, and a feature in Huawei apps and merchandise. Winners will be announced in 2025.
