The Honda Civic continues its reign of excellence, with the latest Civic Hybrid model being named the 2025 North American Car of the Year (NACTOY). This marks the fourth time the iconic nameplate has received this prestigious award from the North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year jury.
The NACToY Awards, now in their 30th year, recognize vehicles that excel in innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, user experience, driver satisfaction, and value. A panel of 50 professional automotive journalists from the United States and Canada rigorously evaluates a “long list” of contenders
At a press conference held during the Detroit Auto Show last January 10, the Civic Hybrid emerged victorious, garnering 205 votes from the jury. Other years the Honda Civic won were in 2006, 2016, and 2022.
According to one of the jurors, John Voelcker, who is also a Contributing Editor for Car and Driver, Green Car Reports, and Inside EVs: “The Honda Civic has won awards for half a century now, and the Civic Hybrid brings Honda’s superb and fuel-efficient hybrid system into one of the market’s best compact sedans. Fun, fuel-efficient, and more elegant than its predecessors, it’s a hands-down winner.”
The new Honda Civic is locally available in three variants: V Turbo CVT (P1.6 million), RS Turbo CVT (P1.790M), and RS e:HEV E-CVT (P1.990M).
To make owning a Honda Civic Hybrid more accessible, Honda offers the e:HEV Financing program, which provides customers with lower interest rates for 15% to 20% down payments on 36- to 60-month loan terms, subject to bank approval. Additionally, customers get free comprehensive insurance from RCBC, BDO, Chinabank, and Eastwest Bank, and extended loan terms of up to 84 months through BPI.
