Grab Philippines and motorcycle taxi company MOVE IT are prioritizing the well-being of their driver, delivery-, and rider-partners with a comprehensive health and wellness program.

This commitment was recently on display at the “Health & Wheelness Driver Care Event,” which saw over 4,000 participants and their families participate in seminars and workshops.

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), First Metro Asset Management, and Pag-IBIG shared their expertise on healthy diet, social protection, road safety, and financial well-being.

The attendees were also given access to various health check-ups, including medical, dental, and optometric. Together with partner Generika Pharmacy, Grab and MOVE IT gave away vitamins, health supplements, and appropriate medications following the free consultations. The platforms also provided 700 pre-registered participants with complimentary dentures customized to their dental prescriptions.

Grab and MOVE IT also continued to leverage its partnerships with Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth for an efficient accreditation and membership application process for its partners.

Government agencies such as Pag-IBIG had their dedicated booths, encouraging more Grab and MOVE IT partners to become official members and avail of essential social protection services.

Participants also enjoyed self-care services offered at the event, including complimentary haircuts, massages, and nail cleaning sessions.

Prior to the event,  Grab and MOVE IT hosted an online seminar for partners, ensuring wide access to wellness education, and to support partners unable to attend the on-ground activities. Speakers from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), the Department of Agriculture, and Shell Philippines engaged the audience with insightful discussions on topics such as healthy eating and vehicle maintenance.

Grab and MOVE IT also extended their support to  their partners’ vehicles with complimentary oil change services offered by Shell and Mechanigo.Ph.

In addition to on-ground services, technology also plays a key role in maintaining partners’ health. Grab introduced the Fatigue Nudge feature, which alerts drivers and riders who have been online for over 10 hours to take a break. Meanwhile, GrabAcademy and Ka-MOVE IT Academy offer in-app courses on physical and mental health, as well as financial well-being, accessible at any time.
