Grab Philippines and motorcycle taxi platform MOVE IT have partnered with AXA Philippines and PhilPacific Insurance Brokers & Managers, Inc. (Philinsure) to significantly enhance the social protection of their driver-, delivery-, and rider-partners.
The partnership will provide free life insurance policies to top-performing partners, building on existing insurance coverage during bookings and deliveries.
This initiative, integrated into the Ka-Grab Rewards and Ka-MOVE IT Rewards programs, aims to provide greater financial security for partners and their families.
Grab Philippines has been offering free life insurance to its top performers since 2016. MOVE IT followed suit in 2023 with its Ka-MOVE IT Rewards, extending similar benefits to its rider-partners.
The partnership with AXA and Philinsure will provide comprehensive coverage, valued up to PHP 1 million across various insurance riders, to tens of thousands of top performers on both platforms.
This includes life insurance, accidental insurance, disability coverage, and terminal illness benefits, setting a new standard for social protection within the gig economy.
