Google is officially bidding farewell to its Chromecast device with the introduction of the all-new Google TV Streamer.

Designed to deliver a superior 4K TV experience, the new tabletop streaming device boasts a more powerful processor, increased memory, and 32GB of storage.

The Google TV Streamer supports 4K HDR at 60fps, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, while Spatial Audio is available on supported content when paired with Pixel Buds Pro.

Google TV Streamer offers access to a vast library of content, including 700,000+ movies and shows through streaming apps such as YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV, in addition to live TV.

Google AI provides personalized recommendations based on viewing habits, making it easier to discover new content. The device also introduces Gemini technology, which offers full summaries, reviews, and season breakdowns for TV shows.

An ambient mode lets you transform your idle TV into a personalized canvas. You can display your favorite photos or generate unique screensavers using generative AI.

The streaming device also functions as a smart home hub as it is compatible with Matter and Thread smart home devices. It supports Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

Meanwhile, its redesigned voice remote features a textured back and an optimized button layout. It even has a “Find My Remote” function that makes locating a lost remote as easy as a voice command.

Google TV Streamer is priced at $99.99.
