Dyson has unveiled its first foray into the audio market with the launch of the Dyson OnTrac headphones.
These premium headphones boast best-in-class noise cancellation, allowing users to fully immerse themselves in their music or podcasts.
The OnTrac features a custom Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) algorithm that utilizes eight microphones, analyzing external sound 384,000 times per second. This, combined with superior materials and finely crafted internal components, reduces unwanted sound by up to 40dB.
For an exceptional listening experience, these cans are equipped with 40mm neodymium drivers and advanced audio signal processing. This delivers crisp, clear highs and deep, rich bass, faithfully reproducing every note across a wide frequency range of 6Hz to 21kHz. Additionally, the speaker housing is angled 13 degrees toward the ear for optimal audio delivery.
With up to 55-hour battery life, Dyson OnTrac provides up to two weeks of listening even with ANC enabled. The two high-capacity lithium-ion battery cells are suspended in the headband for more even weight distribution. To switch between ANC on and off, simply double tap on either ear cup.
Engineered for all-day comfort, the OnTrac is certified comfortable by US Ergonomics. High-grade foam cushions and strategically placed multi-pivot gimbal arms provide a comfortable and secure fit that relieves ear pressure. Soft micro-suede ear cups and optimized clamp force ensure a consistent feel across different head sizes.
Customization is a key feature, with over 2,000 possible combinations of outer caps and ear cushions available in a variety of colors and finishes. The base headphones come in four distinct colorways: CNC Aluminium, Copper, and Nickel, with a Ceramic Cinnabar variant offering a ceramic-feel painted finish.
Meanwhile, the MyDyson app provides additional control over the OnTrac experience. You can adjust EQ settings, monitor sound levels, and receive automatic software updates. Additional features include head detect, an intuitive joystick, dual beam-forming microphones, and real-time sound tracking.
Dyson has yet to announce local pricing and availability details for the OnTrac headphones.
