DITO Telecommunity joined the 45th MassKara Festival for the second year, bringing a host of events to celebrate Bacolod’s vibrant culture and heritage.
Known for its Carnival-like street parades featuring performers in colorful mask, the festival serves as a tribute to Bacolod’s identity as the “City of Smiles.” This year, MassKara Festival marked its Sapphire Anniversary with competitions, performances, and community events.
“Through our TODO Na DITO campaign, we aim to inspire Filipinos by creating a community where they can express themselves and pursue their passions,” said Evelyn Jimenez, DITO Chief Revenue Officer for Consumer Business.
“The MassKara Festival is an opportunity to showcase Bacolod’s vibrant spirit, and we’re thrilled to be part of this celebration. We’re dedicated to keeping the city connected so every smile and shared moment can be instantly shared online,” she added.
To improve connectivity during the festival, DITO deployed a Cell Site on Wheels (COW), which provided stable and reliable network coverage. This made it easy for festival-goers to share their experiences online and stay in touch with loved ones.
