Earlier this year, Texas-based DeLorean Motor Company teased that it’s coming out with a modernized, fully electric vehicle.

Well, the company just revealed the first images of its upcoming EV: the Alpha5.

Powered by a 100+kWh battery, the Alpha5 aims for a range of 480km+ (300 miles), a top speed of 155mph (249kph), and a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds.

While it trades in the boxy lines of the DMC-12 for a 2+2 with a sleek silhouette, it does retain the signature gullwing doors.

Like the original DeLorean, the Alpha5 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro’s ItalDesign studio. In an interview with Autocar, DeLorean CEO Joost de Vries said that the first run will be 88 limited edition, track-only cars—referencing the speed needed to time-travel in Back to the Future—meant to “serve as an avatar for an associated NFT.” This will be followed by a production run of cars that would be eligible for actual legal registration and use.

Feast your eyes on these initial photos of the Alpha5:
