SM City Fairview buzzed with excitement last February 22 and 23 as Cyberzone Geek Con DX transformed the mall into a playground for tech enthusiasts, cosplay fans, and trading card gamers.

The event, hosted by SM Cyberzone, drew in pop culture lovers of all ages for a celebration of everything geeky—from cutting-edge gadgets to anime-inspired artistry.

The event’s Hobby Corner showcased impressive collections of Gundam models and anime figures from beloved franchises such as Demon Slayer, Haikyuu!!, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Trading card game fans had plenty to enjoy, too. Ludus Distributors hosted free lessons on Magic: The Gathering, welcoming both beginners and seasoned players to immerse themselves in the iconic strategy game.

For creative minds, the Deluxe Lane offered live art sessions using Wacom tablets and MSI’s latest laptops. A design session led by guest artist Arts of Ran took the audience through the intricate process of character creation, sparking inspiration among aspiring artists.

Customization lovers also had their fill, with booths from Gameline Keys and Datablitz x Akko offering an array of mechanical keyboard accessories, including vibrant keycaps, switches, and sleek keyboard cases.

Gaming enthusiasts were treated to the debut of MSI’s portable gaming powerhouse, the Claw 8 AI+. On-the-spot challenges gave lucky participants a chance to win MSI freebies.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a geek con without cosplay! The venue transformed into a living gallery of iconic characters brought to life by passionate cosplayers. Community favorites like Hippochi, Maria Song, Gelo Grayson, VTuber Kira Omori, and cosplay photographer Jay Tablante energized the crowd.

The event culminated with competitive showcases where standout cosplayers received a generous pool of P47,000 in a contest that celebrated creativity and dedication.

For those who missed out on the action at SM City Fairview, Cyberzone Geek Con DX is set to return at SM City Cebu on March 8 and 9.
