The Philippines’ first-ever COCONUTPhilippines Trade Fair (CTF) wrapped up on December 4 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall, marking a significant milestone for the nation’s coconut industry.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through its Bureau of Market Development, Promotions and OTOP (BMDPO), in collaboration with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and 14 other implementing agencies, the event showcased the vast potential and innovation within the coconut sector.

The trade fair attracted over 100 exhibitors from across the country, representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Visitors were treated to a diverse array of coconut-based products, including virgin coconut oil, sugar, coir, charcoal, innovative food and beverages, cosmetics, and eco-friendly packaging.

The 53 CFIDP-vetted and approved beneficiaries of the program participated in the event and received special tokens, reassuring them of the government’s commitment to supporting Filipino coconut farmers and entrepreneurs.

A festive coconut-themed Christmas tree took center stage at the event, symbolizing the resilience, versatility, and enduring spirit of the Philippine coconut industry. The tree was adorned with ornaments bearing the names of 14 implementing agencies, symbolizing their dedication to uplifting Filipinos through the CFIDP program.

The trade fair also saw the official launch of the COCONUTPhilippines brand—aimed at strengthening the global presence of Philippine coconut products—and the CocoMania mascots.
