Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) and Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. (CCFPI) have once again united with valued stakeholders to champion community-focused initiatives through the 2024 Coca-Cola Golf Classic tournament.
Held at the Sta. Elena Golf & Country Club, the event marked the fourth annual run since its revival in 2019. The tournament gathered over 180 customers, suppliers, and industry leaders, showcasing their shared commitment to fostering stronger communities across the Philippines.
Special guests included Filipina professional golfers Bianca Pagdanganan, an Olympian and Tokyo Olympics representative, and Sam Bruce, the first Filipina nominee for the US NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Their presence added excitement and inspiration to the event.
“At CCBPI, we believe we are only as strong as the communities we serve—a belief shared by all our partners. Every year at the Coca-Cola Golf Classic, we come together to enjoy the eventful day and witness the significant impact of our collective efforts in refreshing the Philippines and making a difference. We thank our partners and sponsors, who enable us to continue uplifting the lives of Filipinos through initiatives geared towards impactful community support,” shared Gareth McGeown, CEO and President of CCBPI.
In the past year, the amount raised supported disaster response initiatives, including relief efforts following the multiple typhoons that recently hit the country. Last year’s efforts also strengthened the continued partnership between CCBPI, the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. and AHA Learning Center—an internationally recognized non-profit organization committed to nurturing high-potential public school students and shaping future Filipino role models.
Pledges from the 2024 tournament’s partners are set to sustain Coca-Cola’s partnership with AHA Learning Center, as well as support an even more expanded set of programs.
This year’s tournament concluded with Romeo Castro Jr., Mario Rafael Mañaol, Josef Andrew Mendoza, and Raymundo Juanchoe emerging as the overall team champion, with a winning gross score of 59.
