Chevron Philippines Inc., marketer of the Caltex brand of fuel and lubricants, in collaboration with the American Chamber Foundation Philippines, Inc. (AmCham), has launched a Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) program aimed at equipping auto mechanic graduates of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati with practical industry experience.

The program involves a four-month on-the-job training (OJT) or apprenticeship within Chevron’s network of distributors and workshops to complete the required hours for their TESDA qualification. Participants will gain hands-on experience in Caltex Do-It-For-Me (DIFM) auto workshops under the guidance of experienced mentors.

The student-trainees will get a chance to learn and train in Caltex-branded workshops; Caltex autoPro, Caltex Havoline autoPro and Caltex Delo Sports oil change.

Upon completion, trainees will be eligible for a TESDA certification. This initiative not only benefits the students but also provides Caltex workshop partners with additional skilled manpower.
