Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is DC’s latest superhero.
Warner Bros. Pictures recently released the first official trailer for Black Adam starring Johnson as the eponymous anti-hero.
The film is set 5,000 years after Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, where he was placed immediately after being given the powers of the ancient gods. Now free, he seeks to unleash his unique form of justice.
The trailer shows Black Adam facing off against the Justice Society of America (JSA), an iconic group of superheroes that preceded the Justice League. The superhero cast includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate.
Also starring in the film are Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, and Bodhi Sabongui as Amon.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, screen story by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, based on characters from DC, Black Adam smashes into theaters and IMAX in the Philippines on October 19. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
