Ayala Foundation has strengthened its crisis response toolkit with three BYD Shark 6 DMO pickups and a Sealion 6 DM-i, courtesy of ACMobility and BYD Philippines.
Each electric vehicle comes fully equipped with emergency gear for use in disaster-hit areas.
The vehicles were turned over last July 9 in observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.

“These vehicles are tools for hope, equipped to support fast mobilization during emergencies and help deliver aid, equipment, and relief where they’re needed most. With advanced electric technology and modern rescue features, they’re built to serve communities in times of greatest need,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.

The vehicles were immediately deployed following Tropical Storms Crising, Dante, and Emong, and the southwest monsoon. The Ayala Foundation used the Shark 6 to deliver food packs, Go Bags, and antibacterial medicines to flood-affected communities in Quezon City, Navotas, Manila, and Marikina.
In La Union, BYD’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature on the Shark 6 and Sealion 6 provided free charging for residents left without power, helping communities stay connected while power was being restored..
