After previewing the all-new Honda BR-V at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show last September, Honda Cars Philippines has officially unveiled its second-generation 7-seater.
Powering the all-new Honda BR-V is a new 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that puts out 119hp and 145Nm, and sends it to the front wheels. This is mated to either a CVT or 6-speed manual.
The top-grade VX CVT is equipped with Honda SENSING, which includes lead car departure notification system, collision mitigation brake system, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and auto-high beam.
Other features that can be found across all variants are speed sending auto door locks, dual and side airbags, reverse camera with guidelines, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability assist, and hill start assist.
The all-new BR-V exhibits a dynamic body shape and features a matte black grille, save for the range-topping VX CVT, which comes with a glossy one.
It gets newly designed headlights that house full LEDs with Daytime Running Lights (DRL). LED fog lights are available on the VX CVT Honda SENSING, V CVT, and S CVT variants, while the auto on-off lighting function is standard on the top-of-the-line variant.
All CVT grades wear new 17-inch aluminum wheels, while the S MT variant comes with a set of 16-inch rims.
At the rear are newly designed LED taillights that elegantly illuminate the night.
The all-new BR-V comes with a 7- inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, paired with a 6-speaker (VX CVT Honda SENSING and V CVT) or 4-speaker sound system (S CVT and S MT).
The second row seats slide, fold, and tumble in a 60:40 split, while the third row collapses in a 50:50 split. Leather upholstery is exclusive to the VX CVT and V CVT, while the S CVT and S MT are treated with high-grade fabric.
The all-new Honda BR-V is available in four variants with the following suggested retail prices:
- Honda BR-V 1.5 VX CVT Honda SENSING: P1,390,000
- Honda BR-V 1.5 V CVT: P1,295,000
- Honda BR-V 1.5 S CVT: P1,150,000
- Honda BR-V 1.5 S MT: P1,090,000
