At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Alibaba Group unveiled a wave of AI innovations powered by its Qwen large language models, including intelligent automotive cockpits, enterprise GenAI solutions, and its first AI smart glasses.
Alibaba launched its next-generation in-car AI system, developed with Qualcomm and Banma. Built on Qwen’s multimodal capabilities and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8397 platform, the system features “Yan AI,” Banma’s intelligent assistant, that enhances driving experiences with natural language interaction, proactive suggestions, and seamless controls.
Alibaba also demonstrated how Qwen is powering global digital transformation. For example, lighting leader Signify integrated Qwen into its connected street lighting system, enabling AI-driven energy savings and automated maintenance via natural language commands—underscoring Qwen’s real-world potential in facility management.

Also unveiled at WAIC were the Quark AI Glasses, Alibaba’s entry into the wearables space. These lightweight smart glasses offer real-time translation, transcription, voice-activated navigation, shopping, and payments—all deeply integrated with Alibaba’s digital ecosystem. The glasses are set to launch in China by year-end.
