New year, new Predator gaming laptops.

At CES 2025, Acer announced major updates to its Predator gaming laptop lineup. The flagship Predator Helios 16 AI and Predator Helios 18 AI, along with the all-new Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, feature advanced AI capabilities and powerful hardware to meet the demands of modern gaming and creative workflows.

The new Predator laptops are equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Built on NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, the RTX 50 Series delivers next-level AI and graphics performance. These laptops also support NVIDIA NIM Microservices, enabling developers to harness cutting-edge AI models.

Additionally, the Helios devices are supported by the ultra-thin 6th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans and MagKey 4.0 mechanical switches.

Predator Helio 16 AI

The Predator Helios 16 AI and Helios 18 AI cater to gamers and professionals seeking top-tier performance. The Helios 16 AI offers portability with a sleek design, while the Helios 18 AI provides desktop-level power and immersive 4K Mini LED displays.

The Helios 16 AI can be configured with up to 64GB of memory and supports up to 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage, while the Helios 18 AI supports up to a massive 192GB of memory and up to 6TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage.

The Helios devices also come with cutting-edge displays: an OLED WQXGA 240Hz display for the Helios 16 AI, and a 4K Mini LED WQXGA 120Hz display for the Helios 18 AI.

Predator Helios Neo 16 AI

Meanwhile, the all-new Predator Helios Neo 16S AI offers a slimmer, versatile option for gaming and creative applications. It comes with an OLED WQXGA 240Hz display, up to Intel Core 9 processor 275HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, and supports up to 32GB RAM and 2TB of storage.

Advanced thermals include Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade technology and liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU. The PredatorSense app provides real-time control over system adjustments and the Experience Zone lets players tap into its collection of AI-powered features.
