Twenty-eight scholars recently graduated from the AmCham Foundation Scholarship Program’s intensive 15-month Automobile Mechanics training at Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati, with all graduates earning TESDA certification as auto mechanics.
The program, which was made possible through the support of Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants, provided the scholars with comprehensive training, including a four-month internship at Caltex-branded workshops through the Caltex Mechanics Pool initiative.
“Malaking tulong po ito sa amin at malaking bagay din po na na-share ko rin ‘yung learnings ko from this program. Walang katapusang pasasalamat sa Chevron at habambuhay ko pong tatanawin itong utang na loob,” said Karlito Luis Manuel, the batch Gold and Exemplary Conduct Awardee.
Meanwhile, Jhon Keven Eugenio, recipient of the Exemplary Conduct Award, Perfect Attendance Award, and Volunteerism Award, shared: “This scholarship is more than just financial support; it serves as a reminder that we all have potential, and we just need to add hard work. Your generosity [Chevron] has inspired me to continue pursuing my passion and perseverance. Maraming salamat po sa Chevron—dahil po sa inyo nakamit ko ang pagtatapos sa Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati.
